Matchstick men
Cage's partner removes his clip-on tie when he returns to the office after posing as FBI. As soon as he pulls it off and you see his top button still buttoned, the shot changes and you see his arm movement from pulling it off. But his top button is now unbuttoned.
When Nicolas Cage finds his daughter walking near her school (after their big falling out), he rolls down his car window to talk to her. She turns to leave, then the camera angle changes and the window is all the way up again
Nicolas Cage arrives home late to find his daughter asleep. He has bought a tub of her favorite ice cream, but apparently neither of them stay up to eat it. First thing the next morning, she gets the ice cream out. When opened, it's obviously already been eaten from.
Throughout the film when we see wads of £50 notes they are quite fake as the print of the queen looks far too dark and the colours are off. Surely it wouldn't have been too much bother to put one real note on top of each wad?
Matchstick men - Corrected Entries
Throughout the film Cage shows signs of OCD, towards the end of the film he slowly slips out of it and eventually gets it out of his system. However, when he is with his daughter and they order pizza he opens the door for the pizza man. At no point in the movie does he just open his front door, he does it three times. [That's because each time he opens the door for the pizza man, he is with his daughter. His daughter is the cure.]
At the supermarket, Nicolas Cage buys cans of tuna and packs of cigarettes. Supermarkets nowadays lock up all the cigarettes. You have to ask the cashier and then they'll open up the case containing the smokes; you can't take them yourself. [Not all supermarkets lock up their cigarettes.]
In the scene where Roy is driving Angela home after meeting her the first time, the camera changes back and forth from a shot of the driver and a shot of the passenger. In the shots of the driver, his side view mirror shows a moving reflection of road, cars and scenery. In the shots of the passenger, the side view mirrow shows the same blurry picture which does not move at all. [It's just the side of the car - because of where the camera is that is all you can see reflected in that mirror]
All the times that Roy is in his car you can see that the windows are dirty. For someone like him, you'd think he'd clean them. [You would think that, as it follows a line of logic. However, living with an OCD person, I can say that they're obssessive compulsive tendencies don't necessarily follow a line of logic. It is possible that he has to have his home windows squeaky clean and not care about his car at all. Odd, I know, but I've given up trying to figure out OCD.]
When Roy leaves Angela at his house to go make a deal, she searches it while he is gone. When she finds the dog and opens it and sees the gun and money, she says "no way," like she can't belive it but at the end, it reveals that she was in on the con all along. Why would she be suprised if she knew all along that he was a con artist? [She is surprised that he has all that money in the dog instead of a bank.]
In one scene in the movie, when Cage is waiting for his daughter to come home from school, there are 3 quick camera shots from Cage to outside the car, back to Cage inside the car, and back to outside the car, all within about 5 seconds, in the first one, the cigarette in his mouth is still new/long, in the second it's short, and in the third, it's back to new/long. [It was a quick way to show that he waited a long time.]
Towards the end of the movie, Nicholas Cage gets out of the hospital bed easily, despite the fact that his hand was hand-cuffed to the side of the bed. [The "police officers" that were watching him were obviously fake, so when Frank came to leave him a note and clothes, he or one of the "officers" uncuffed him, as it was all a set up.]
While Nicolas Cage is waiting to meet his daughter for the first time, he smokes in his car. Pay attention to the length of his cigarette during camera shifts. Sometimes the length change doesn't match the amount of time between shots. [It is showing that he was waiting a long period of time. when it cuts to a diferent angle its cutting to lets say 30 mins later or an hour. It's time lapsing.]

Face/Off
It is told that the bomb is going to explode after six days, which according to the counter on the bomb is 216 hours. Apparently the movie takes place in the future, where the day is 36 hours.
During the airplane chase sequence, Castor Troy shoots three times at Archer in the helicopter, yet makes four bullet holes.
During the speed boat scene, you can distinctively see that the stunt guy has much longer hair than Nicholas Cage's character. - angel
They only exchange faces in the movie, so how did Travolta's character grow his hair back so quickly in the end? - angel
They didn't switch ears along with the face, which seems to me pretty stupid since they are not the same shape by far. Still they changed. If it had been the way they did it, only exchanging faces, I am sure that an intelligent guy like Pollux would have noticed, or some brother he would be... - drano-angel
In the movie where Castor Troy returns to his gang at their house and wakes up to Gena Gershon, he grabs his gun. He then is talking in the mirror and somehow keeps re-caulking the gun like 3 times! - Obster
During the escape from the prison, the 2 prisoners are about to have their brain fried and they have their boots removed. Every now and then during the beginning of the scene until the end, you see the prisoners with rubber boots off, rubber boots on even when they are reloading, jumping, killing, so normally, about short of time. - ihccas
In the shoot-out at the beginning of the film, Nicholas Cage shoots an agent who then flies through the air, but minutes later this same agent is beside Travolta in a large group of agents. Now, either this is a mistake or he has a twin brother. - David
In the shoot-out scene in the airport hanger, an FBI agent gets shot with a shotgun and you can clearly see the wire jerking the stuntman back before and after he is shot. - Blake
During the boat scene a spear gun is fired and after the boat explodes, that gun or another exactly like it is pulled from the sandy beach ready to fire-also Cage stabs Travolta with the spear gun and there is no blood on it right after. - gomurr
The wife is said to be a vegetarian, yet she does not question the lobster the bad guy gets her for dinner. - The Big J
When Troy and Archer are holding their guns at each other, Troy asks Archer about his "Darling Janie." That's not the slip-up. The slip-up is on the closed caption which says "Darling Jamie." Jamie is the real character's name, but Castor Troy doesn't know that. - Dan
When Sasha grabs the gold guns out of her son's hands and tells him how dangerous they are, her mouth is not moving--she's just staring at him. - Reddfoxx
This is not a big goof, but here it is... In the scene after Archer (Cage) sends Paulex off the roof and through the skylight, Castor (Travolta) shoots an officer for making a smart remark about his grieving over his brother. If you look closely, you can clearly see that, before he is shot, there is a big lump on the officer's forehead, where the bullet is to hit on the next scene. It is pretty big... - teo
When Archer (Travolta) looks at the template mask that the face will be in. It first of all has black lines running vertically up the forehead and in the next angle (camera) it is clear on the forehead. - peep
By the end of the movie, after the speed boats, Travolta cuts his face, so his shirt gets all bloody, when he gets in the ambulance, the shirt is CLEAN! - Hans
Bad editing during the prison escape: when Nic Cage is holding the end of the rifle that Duvoc(?) is hanging onto from the catwalk, in one scene it shows the barrel slipping so that Cage's hand is gripping just the muzzle end; very close to the tip of the barrel, but in the next, wider shot, his hand is all the way back to the stock of the rifle! The order of these shots should've been reversed, because in the next scene, the tip of the barrel slips from Cage's grasp and Duvoc falls. - cynic333
(Plot holes) The director of the FBI dies in office and yet there are only about 40 people at his funeral which is held at a church with absolutely no security outside and anyone can walk into the church (and they do)! - Jack
Gone In 60 Seconds
When the side window breaks off the next scenes except for close ups, its PERFECT!!! - Road Dogg
When Memphis meets Sway for the first time (she's under the car) there are two wrenches that keep changing position. - Loaded1215
When Memphis starts Elenor you hear the engine start before he turns the ignition. - Loaded1215
When Memphis brings "Eleanor" to Calitry, and Calitry punches him when the camera is showing Memphis on the ground you can see the mark he was standing on (pink or orange tape). - Loaded1215
Addition: Well, you can see cage check to see if he is on the marker after getting out of the car and trys to hide looking at it by looking at his watch, its pretty obvious. (DVD) - Andrew Collins
When "someone" is pushed off the grate walkway and falls in a coffin his "body" falls all the way to the floor. In the next camera angle he is in the coffin. - Loaded1215
When Memphis is being chased in the Mustang the one side mirror is smashed off then later the mirror is back on and again when he delivers the car the mirror is off. - gomurr
When Memphis and Sway are in the Hemi Sway finds lips stick and puts it on. Lamborgini she does not have it on. - Pannaralli
I can't believe noone mentioned this: When Memphis backs the mustang up after realizing there is a accident on the bridge, the car turns to the right as it stops but in the very next shot the car is pointing straight ahead. - Andrew Collins
When they are steeling all of the ferraris. They walk through the garage door and Tumblers flashlight is on then its off then on again. - Michael Farris
Not really a goof but I just thought it was wierd that no one was out driving the cars that they had to steal on that night. They were all just conveniently left un attended for someone to steal. - Andrew Collins
When Memphis is being chased by the cop and Memphis crosses the street and the cop gets hit by the bus if you look carefully you can see the wire that was pulling the cop car. (DVD) - stick34
When Memphis steals the mustang he needs both hands to start the car. Later when the car stalls he only uses one hand to start it like he would if he had the key. (DVD) - MrStang
When Cage is stealing Eleanor and he stuck on the bridge due to the accident, you can clearly see that the wreckers flat bed trailer is horizontal (in the driving position). But when he hits it is in the loading position. I don't think there would have been a lot of ramping going on if the flat bed wasn't touching the ground... ya know? (DVD) - Treehugger36
In the first scene when they're stealing the carrera when Kip goes for the key it already in his hand before he takes it out of the box (in slow motion this is very easy to see). - steve
When Kitt and Memphis are driving home there in a nova in the exterior shots of the car but when it switches to the interior shots, there in a 90s car like a sable or something, it does this through out the scene and when they're scrambling out of the nova as Johnnie B shoots it up it then shows a nova interior. (DVD) - cuda
When Nicolas Cage is stealing the mustang the car exhausts fumes are emitted towards the back of the car, instead of the side exhaust that it has. - EMOLAS19
When Memphis steals the Shelby he has to use tools to start it, but when it stalls he turns it back on with the keys. - Rockerbaby
(Continuity) When Eleanor lands on the bridge, the whole car's unibody is impacted. You can even see the roof ripple when it hits. But the later scenes with the car only have a smashed front area. (VHS) - Miked
Adaptation
Immediately before Charlie Kaufman has a tantrum in the New York hotel room, the lamp to the right of the bed can be seen leaning against the wall in the corner, but it is standing upright before he knocks it over in the next shot.
At the end of the film when Kaufman pulls out of the parking garage, a woman (Jennifer Porst) sits next to him in the car for a single shot, though he is riding alone.
When Charlie Kaufman is sitting in the coffee shop, the menu jumps about on the table between shots.
Leaving Las Vegas
In Leaving Las Vegas at one point Nic leans forward and you can see that he has a tatoo on his back (the lizard tatoo), but later when he and Elisabeth Shue's character are pooring liquor on each other at the resort place when he jumps into the pool you can see the makeup that was covering the tatoo is a different colour than the tatoo and there is supposed to be no tatoo.
